Please Join Me to Express Gratitude
This postcard will arrive on Thanksgiving Day, a day that we are all urged to dwell on being grateful.
I recently spent a weekend with my Mastermind Group of fellow travel consultants. We meet at least once a year to work “on” our business for a few days rather than “in” our business which most of us do for the rest of the year. We have been meeting for 7 years so clearly, we have become good friends resulting in the topics touching both our professional and personal lives.
I was the host this time and happy to have them share my life on Cape Cod. I want to plug the Liberty Hill Inn www.libertyhillinn.com where we spent the weekend. Do not hesitate to recommend this Inn to any visiting friends or family. John and Kris were warm and welcoming hosts and the accommodations were first class with all the expected amenities.
My reason for sharing this is to talk about my personal take away. One of the members had attended a meeting of 100 Women Who Care.
This is a group of women who gather four times a year to learn about local charities. Each one donates a $50 or $100 check to a local charity that the group selects from 3 charities that are previewed. This combined donation makes a real impact, without time-consuming fundraising events and planning. You also know that 100% of your donation will be given.
The result… One of the group is going to start her own chapter in California and I am going to attend the chapter meeting on Cape Cod; as it turns out, the only chapter in Massachusetts.
For those of you who live on Cape Cod, please join me on
495 Station Ave South Yarmouth.
5:00 – 5:30 Social Gathering
5:30 – 6:30 Meeting
I am thrilled to think that I can now express gratitude at least 4 times a year on Cape Cod so local charities will benefit from our chapter: 100 Women of Cape Cod Who Care
Of course, I am always grateful daily for my family; my friends; my co- workers at Northside Travel and our support personnel and for all of my Northside Travelers.
